I am born and raised a Tennessee girl. There is an old phrase,
“You can take the girl out of the country, but you can’t take
the country out of the girl.” So with that being said. I bleed
orange! Go Vols! Born and bred this way because of the
memories with my family, my dad.
The thing is, Tennessee football is currently awful and
has been for years. Shhh, don’t tell them I said this. But it
does not remove my love for the memories of the times I
spent at the games. What it does, is teach me about attachment
and what I put my energy into.
Is there something in your life that you put so much into
that no matter what happens, it will affect you? When we
learn to let go of attachment and circumstances, we can gain
our true power.
It’s the attachment to the thing, like the score of the
game, not the game itself. Letting go of attachment to the
outcome will allow you to enjoy so much more. What if you
allowed yourself to let go of attachment to a certain outcome,
and be open to God’s path? When we let go, it creates freedom,
openness, faith. When we cling, it drains us. It takes
time away from our precious lives. Allow the good from the
situation to remain and let go of the rest.
